Digitizing Race: Visual Cultures of the Internet was published in 2007 and examines how questions of race and ethnicity emerge in digital cultures. Lisa Nakamura, who publishes in both academic and popular venues, is a professor in the American Culture Department with a joint appointment in the Screen Arts and Culture Department and affiliate status with the Women’s Studies Department at the University of Michigan.
